HOTTOYS就事件出現誤會而作出以下的回應:
關於“6) Remarks: ** The maximum donation by Hot Toys through this campaign is HK$80,000 (approximately US$10,000).”,
其實是 “1) About this auction: 100% of proceeds generated through this auction will go directly to Hong Kong Red Cross as Taiwan Typhoon Relief Donation 2009. Hot Toys will also donate the same amount to Hong Kong Red Cross for the relief purpose**.”的備註，意思是 “所有這次拍賣所籌得的款項將100%撥捐香港紅十字會-台灣風災重建基金。而HOT TOYS亦會捐出相同金額的款項作捐款。**”
